Who We Are
We are naturopathic physicians who practice general medicine at Centro De Salud Familiar in Phoenix, AZ. Our facility caters to individuals who might not have previously accessed medical services. As a result, we have gained substantial expertise in identifying and managing emergency situations. These emergency cases have prepared us to provide immediate care within our scope while awaiting EMS services.
Values
Commander Docs value preparedness and ability to recognize and manage medical emergencies. We value patient safety and adherence to established protocols. We firmly believe that this essential skill set should be exemplified by every physician, particularly those practicing naturopathic medicine.
Objectives
Our objective is to empower fellow naturopathic physicians with the essential tools to confidently manage emergency situations while paving the way towards seamless collaboration and acceptance within the broader medical community.
Guest Speakers
Dr. Parabatie Misir
NMD
Dr. Misir is a US Navy Veteran with 25 years experience in the medical field ranging from nursing to registered-retired cardiac and vascular sonographer in which she performed and interpreted countless echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds.
Her additional medical experience includes: combat medicine training, field emergency medicine, PACU, nursing and urgent medical care.
Dr. Misir is the Attending of Centro De Salud Familiar.
Dr. Bouchard will be completing her 2-year residency at Centro de Salud Familiar, an Urgent Care/Family Practice clinic in Phoenix. She has handled various emergencies throughout her residency.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Bouchard taught anatomy and physiology. She has additional experience as a laboratory pharmaceutical synthesizer.
Dr. Mendez is a 2nd year resident at Centro de Salud Familiar, an Urgent Care/Family Practice in Phoenix. During her residency she has experienced and handled various emergencies in this walk-in clinic. Prior to medical school, Dr. Mendez was a medical laboratory technician with experience in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and stat specimen processing.
